WHAT GROK BOT IS ABOUT
Grok Bot, by SpaceX' Xai team, is a desktop assistant built around a simple idea: instead of one general chatbot, you run a team of small, focused bots. Each bot has its own name and purpose, its own job and its own chat, and it remembers what you have told it. You give each bot clear rules for what it may and may not do.
You dont have to be a programmer or tech specialist, you can just have a normal voice conversation with your bots and express you business needs and everything will be created by your bot team.
What even better, is that your bots have theirr own Linux computer in the cloud, and can access your computer if needed, so you can close your laptop and the bots runs and communicates on their Linux box in the cloud.
I this example I'll show you how I made an automated bot team, managed by a project manager bot, that handles a full software engineering pipeline, via the following steps:
- Taking its input as a requirements document.
- Developing the solution.
- Testing the app.
- Adding it to GitHub via a feature branch.
- Preparing a pull-request.
- Notifying me via a Discord message with a link to the pull-request, when the app code is ready.
- And iterating any change requests until I merge it into the decicated development branch.
The eight bots
- PM handles the requirements. It takes the requirements file and turns it into structured requirements the rest of the team can work from.
- UML creates PlantUML diagrams from the requirements, such as a features (Usecase diagram) and a database schema (ER diagram).
- Db writes the database scripts, including the schema and test data, based on the ER diagram.
- Coder writes the Node.js web application so that it follows the diagrams.
- Test runs the tests before the pull request lands, so broken code never reaches review.
- Ghub manages the GitHub side. It creates the repository and branches, commits the code and opens the pull request.
- Discord sends a notification to a Discord community with a link to the pull request.
- Feedback watches the pull-request and sends review comments back to Coder, which starts a new revision round on the same pull request, which continues iteratively until I marge the pull-request into the development branch.

The Grok bots does all the hard work, the only thing I have to do is quality assurance and merging the app into the development branch.
